Almost everywhere we look, we see mistakes. Fallacies are often used by politicians, salespeople, and children to get you to think what they want you to think. It’s important to know how to spot fallacies so you don’t fall for them. It’s also important to know what fallacies are so you don’t use them in your own arguments. This course will teach you how to spot and avoid many of the mistakes that lead people astray.

You will learn about false ideas in this class. Fallacies are arguments with one or more common flaws that can be fixed. These flaws include equivocation, circularity, vagueness, etc. It’s important to learn about fallacies so that you can spot them and not let them trick you. It’s also important to know what fallacies are so you don’t use them in your own arguments.
